Admission

Foreign students can join the PPGD through two distinct modalities:

1) Special Students
The Graduate Program in Demography primarily admits students who are already enrolled in other stricto sensu graduate programs, allowing them to enroll in single courses at our Program as special students. This enrollment is valid for one semester, during which students must meet the course requirements. Upon approval, students receive a Certificate of Studies, confirming and attesting to the credits earned.
Basic criteria for enrollment:
Availability of places in the selected course(s);
Formal authorization from the professor(s) responsible for the course(s) during the pre-enrollment period;
Formal authorization from the PPGD coordinator.
Selections are conducted each semester, without a fixed schedule. Prospective students are encouraged to regularly check notices published on our website.

2) Master’s and Doctorate Selection Process
A simplified version of the selection notice, available in English, is accessible on the PPGD website. The selection process takes place annually during the second half of the academic year. While there is no fixed date, candidates are advised to monitor the website for updates and announcements.
