Programa de Internacionalização
Com o objetivo de fomentar a criação e consolidação de planos estratégicos de internacionalização, a formação de redes de pesquisas internacionais, promover a mobilidade de docentes, pesquisadores e discentes vinculados a programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu com cooperação internacional e, por fim, fomentar um ambiente internacional nas instituições de pesquisa, a CAPES criou o Programa Institucional de Internacionalização – CAPES - PrInt. Neste sentido, a Unicamp foi uma das universidades selecionadas para participar desse programa de internacionalização.
Aqui na Unicamp, o PrInt funciona de maneira descentralizada, onde foram formulados projetos institucionais de internacionalização, onde a estratégia foi formulada a partir da formulação de temáticas transversais que permitiria a integração de docentes e pesquisadores de um ou mais Programas de Pós-Graduação.
O PrInt é hoje uma das principais ferramentas de internacionalização de nosso Instituto e tem sido peça fundamental para consolidar as redes e acordos de pesquisa internacionais.

The drivers and impacts of the entry of police officers into legislative politics in Brazil

We propose to investigate the nature, the scope and the impact of a significant entry of police and security sector actors into the political field in Brazil, in a pilot study in the state of São Paulo, over the period 1994-2018. We will map out the extent and drivers of this phenomenon: how many police-related candidates have been running for legislative office, and how many are sponsored by police corporations? What level of electoral success have they had, and why? What are their individual or collective motivations, and identities?
The Law in Slavery and Freedom

The Law in Slavery and Freedom Project is a curricular and research initiative that has been developed in collaboration with The Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, France; the University of Cologne, Germany; the University of Campinas, Brazil; the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; and the Centro Juan Marinello in Havana, Cuba. Students from these institutions have participated in seminars taught by faculty from all sites and continue to exchange ideas through online discussions of readings on the topic of law and slavery in the Atlantic world.
